How to display a moving average (MA) on a chart

①Parameters

③Period
You can set the period of MA. If you choose “14”, MA is calculated by using the latest 14 candlesticks of the displaying time-frame chart.
④MA method
There are several moving averages such as simple moving average, exponential moving average, and smoothed moving average. In this explanation, I select “Simple”, meaning “simple moving average”, as I am always using it.
⑤Apply to
MA is usually calculated from "closing prices of the candlestick". You can select other options. However, if you want to be in line with traders around the world, you should choose “Close”.

How to display MA(s) on a specific time-period chart
If you want to display MA(s) only on the 15-minute chart, make the following settings.
①In the “Visualization” tab of “Moving Average” menu, uncheck [All time frames].
* If the check remains in the box, the specified MA will be displayed on all time-frame charts.
②Check the box of the time frame you want to display.
③After confirming that the selected MA is displayed, select again [Insert]-[Indicators]-[Trend]-[Moving Average] and set another MA.
